INFOGRAPHIC: Healthy hydration for children :
“The amount of fluid a child needs depends on many factors including their age, their gender, the weather and how much physical activity they do, but generally they should aim to drink about 6-8 glasses of fluid per day (on top of the water provided in their diet).”
This really useful infographic provides advice on the types of drinks that children in the 4-13 age group may consume – such as water, milk, fruit juices, smoothies, low calorie soft drinks, soft drinks containing sugar, tea and coffee – and advises parents and coaches accordlingly.
Definitely a good read for getting the right balance.
