A-Star Sports provides one of ‘the best examples of effective marketing’ in the franchising industry

On Friday 15th March A-Star Sports was announced as a winner at the 2013 Franchise Marketing Awards (Best PR Campaign).  The Franchise Marketing Awards recognise the industry’s most innovative and effective marketing campaigns.  Judged by a panel of experts, the awards reward organisations that have raised their public awareness and as a result have achieved sustainable growth.

The A-Star Sports entry centred on the PR campaign that brought the brand from conception through to national recognition.  The judges comments were: “A well executed and detailed PR campaign that included a wide variety of media.  We particularly liked that it was tied into current events such as the Olympics, and the clear evidence provided made it very easy to select A-Star Sports as winners.”

The awards preview in the Business Franchise magazine (April edition), the Show Guide at the British & International Franchise Exhibition held at London Olympia where the winners’ presentations were made, described the importance of the Franchise Marketing Awards:

“When selecting a franchise, the strength of the marketing campaign underpinning the brand, and the levels of support offered to franchisees in the areas of PR and marketing should be a major consideration.

“With so much choice available, however, how do you begin to uncover the franchises that are at the top of their game when it comes to websites, advertising and the overall marketing package?

“The Franchise Marketing Awards 2013 [recognise] and celebrate the highest levels of quality in the marketing campaigns of franchisors, as well as in the support offered to franchisees. 

“Now in their eighth year, the awards [are] judged by experts in franchising and marketing – and awarded to those franchises providing the best examples of effective marketing in the industry.”

The winning entries will be profiled in the May edition of Business Franchise magazine.
